Tai is an outstanding performer and singer known for unusual chord voicings, wide sweeping melodies, and detailed lyrics. She is a veteran performer with Seattle’s Bushwick Book Club and The Seattle Rock Orchestra, and has toured up-and-down the West Coast.
As a one-on-one music teacher and someone who struggled with finding herself as a youth, Tai specializes in teaching young women to find their identity and accept who they are through their voice, songwriting, and performance. Many of the songs on her new album offer strong statements for women, including: self-forgiveness and kindness (“Fighting Yourself”); being yourself (“Cool to be Weird”); letting go of an unhealthy relationship (“Peter Pan”); life inspiration (“Anything is Possible”) and standing up for yourself (“That’s It”).
